ABOUT US

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gila River Indian Community is a brand new organization established in October 2020.  Although we are a new organization, Sacaton Branch has provided youth with a safe positive environment since 1997.

Sacaton Branch sits on a well-known area of Gila River Indian Community.  This area was known as the Rodeo Grounds where we celebrated our annual Mul-Chu-Tha event.  The back building of our current club was once known and is still referred to as the Exhibit Building.  During the Mul-Chu-Tha art work, vendors, would be would be displayed in what used to be a hollow building.  Throughout the year other events would be held such as concerts and celebrations.

Today the Exhibit Building houses our Games Room, Discovery Lab, Computer Lab, Art Room, Clubhouse and Teen Center.  This year we will be introducing a Tween Space to our Club.  Our club offers youth and teens with a sense of belonging, presenting opportunities throughout the Club and Community.  The foundation of our club is our team of staff and volunteers.  They promote healthy and supportive relationships have many benefits.  The benefits include support in areas of academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and leadership.  Working together we set high expectations and provide new opportunities for all club members.

Celebrating youth achievements both big and small are important.  In each area of the Club staff recognize club members for acts of kindness, academic success, leadership and more.  Recognition of club members, club staff and volunteers is celebrated throughout the year.

We value the quality of our high-yield programs to ensure.  We are excited to start a new journey with more exciting opportunities!
